College Basketball All Day

I'm writing this in the midst of 24 straight hours of college basketball on the ESPN family of networks.  This is the third year of this extravaganza and it seems to become more prominent every single year.  Gonzaga and West Virginia started off the day at just about midnight eastern time yesterday and currently, Butler and Xavier are battling it out at the Cintas Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.  This entire day has featured and will continue to feature teams that will be very competitive come March.  Here's a little overview so far.

In the first game, West Virginia traveled across the country to visit Gonzaga in Spokane, Washington.  Gonzaga always seems to look unreal on paper and then fold when big moments come along, but this time the feel was different at "The Kennel."  Gonzaga ran away with an 84-50 win and got some extra help from leading scorer Gary Bell Jr. who scored 15 points.  The Mountaineers looked throughly outmatched and outplayed with transfer Aaric Murray being their only player in double figures with 14.  This is a huge game for Gonzaga and you should be watching for them come tournament time.

Davidson traveled to New Mexico in the next game and was surprisingly leading, 45-31 at the half.  Ian Snell came alive in the second half for the Lobos and would end up scoring 25 points in The Pit.

There are many more games to come and everyone should sit back and enjoy the games that are almost here.
