What An Incredible World Series

The World Series this year has made for some incredible theater.  Although the ratings are down and some people would rather watch a professional team take on a high school team in football, the World Series has reached its apex.  All of the five games so far have been very entertaining and riveting.  An example of this was last night.  When St. Louis Cardinals pitching coach Dave Duncan called to the bullpen for reliever Jason Motte, someone else started warming up.  People sitting in the dugout couldn't tell because of the beard, but Lance Lynn had started to get warm instead of the preferred reliever.  When manager Tony La Russa went to the mound to replace lefty Marc Rzepczynski, Lynn started bounding towards the mound.  Realizing that this wasn't his desired reliever he told Lynn to intentionally walk the next batter in order to bide time for Motte to get warm.  This was just another quirky move in this most quirky of World Series.

From Texas Rangers manager Ron Washington jumping around and running in place in the dugout to Adrian Beltre hitting home runs on one knee this World Series has been entertaining enough.  But that is not all.  Allen Craig has been launching big hit after big hit, but keeps getting thrown out at second with Albert Pujols batting, Mike Napoli keeps delivering for the Rangers even though this is a time when catchers are supposed to be ailing from the rigors of the season.  Have I mentioned that the series is 3-2 in favor of the Rangers heading back to a pretty darn cold St. Louis for game 6 and most likely game 7.  I am just very excited to see what will happen next in this soap opera of sorts.  It should be as exciting and entertaining as always.
